CALLED MEETING TO ORDER <br />JOHN OXIAN: Called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. <br />H. PUBLIC HEARING <br />A. CERTIFICATES OF APPROPRIATENESS <br />1. 2004-1028; 742 Sancome Avenue; tree removal/trim <br />CATHERINE HOSTETLER: (See staff report, pictures, letter from city forester attached to C of A). <br />Homeowner, Kathy Oxian was present. <br />Joann Sporleder stated that the elm tree should not be cut down and should be allowed to grow. <br />John Oxian stated that one of the reasons the elm tree should be cut down is because it is too close to <br />his outside well. Martha Choitz asked if any new trees were going to be planted to replace the ones <br />that were going to be cut down. Kathy Oxian stated that she was not planning on planting a new tree <br />where the silver maple tree was because the space is too small, and also because there is already a <br />nice maple tree growing a short distance away from where the silver maple tree is now. <br />MARY JANE CHASE: I will make a motion to approve application No. 2004-1028, the removal of <br />an elm and a silver maple at 742 Sancome. <br />GERALD UJDAK: Seconds the motion and it passes. Joann Sporleder and Martha Choitz opposed <br />the motion. <br />
