LYNN PATRICK: Well, if we're going to do that then I would like the inspector to go
and take a picture of this; and I would also like the opportunity to go by and take a look at
this.
CATHERINE HOSTETLER: The city has already been working on this issue. They
have said until that alley becomes a public access and not just a private access they won't
have anything to do with it. I really don't see how the fence on the Farr's property
impacts our approval of the fence on this property.
JOHN OXIAN: I will make a motion that this fence be constructed as presented in the C
of A; and that before it is installed that our president, Lynn Patrick, have the right to see
for herself what will be transpiring there. If she has a major objection then I would like
to have it reconsidered.
DIANE WROBEL - ILLES: Seconds the motion and it passes unanimously.
LYNN PATRICK: I would also like it understood that in the interest of neighborly
relations; I would like to advise Mr. and Mrs. Farr about this fence going up and the
reason why, mainly for security, so that they will be aware of this prior to the fence being
installed.
B. LANDMARK
1. Third Reading; 16977 Adams Landmark 1880 Barn
Report from the Landmarks Committee Chair
(This item was moved to the beginning of the meeting agenda).
HI. REGULAR BUSINESS
A. APPROVAL OF MINUTES — July 18, 2005
MARTHA CHOITZ: I move that the minutes for July 18, 2005 be approved as
presented.
DIANE WROBEL- ILLES: Seconds the motion and it passes unanimously. John Oxian
abstains.
B. TREASURER'S REPORT
JOHN OMAN: (See green copy of Treasurer's Report in HPC meeting binder). If you
have any questions about any of these amounts then let me know and I will get with
Catherine and we can answer your questions at our next monthly meeting.
C. COMMITTEE REPORTS
1. President's Report
LYNN PATRICK: We had to cancel our August I" meeting due to the death of
attorney, Mr. John Livingston. This meeting will need to be rescheduled. I will get with
Catherine on this. (The canceled meeting was in regards to Southold).
CATHERINE HOSTETLER: We have already secured a venue for next year's
Southold Awards Dinner. We also sent in a deposit along with the signed contract. The
dinner will be held on April 29, 2006; which will be a Saturday morning. (Southold
committee members agreed to coordinate with each other by email to schedule a
meeting date and time to discuss this matter further).
LYNN PATRICK: I also wanted to report that I went to the porch repair workshop on
Saturday, August 13` in Mishawaka. There was a nice little crowd of about fifteen
people. We got hands on experience working with the epoxy and the two -part Abatron.
It was very interesting.
ri
