OLD BUSINESS <br />1. Chapin Park Local Historic District update <br />JOHN OXIAN: We received a memo to change the name of the district as proposed by the <br />neighborhood association from Chapin Park - Park Avenue to simply Chapin Park Local Historic <br />District. <br />2. Re -authorize Memorandum of Agreement with Historic Landmarks Foundation <br />for new City Decennial Survey and amendments to county survey. <br />KAREN HAMMOND-NASH: If the contract as proposed by HLFI meets with the approval of the <br />commission with the minor corrections in the names of the signatory; they will then need a <br />resolution to adopt it and authorize the president and secretary to sign it on behalf of the <br />commission. <br />LYNN PATRICK: I will make a motion that we adopt the September 21" Memorandum of <br />Agreement. <br />MARY JANE CHASE: Seconds the motion and it passes unanimously. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS <br />LYNN PATRICK: It has been recommended that the Historic Preservation Commission and <br />supported by the County Commissioners require Karen Hammond -Nash to make full restitution of <br />$552.50 for the stale dated checks; since she was responsible for the timely handling of these fees. <br />I would like to make a motion that this be an accepted way of dealing with this unusual <br />situation. <br />MARTHA CHOITZ: Seconds the motion and it passes unanimously. <br />1. Accept resignation of Historic Preservation Commission officers. <br />(Secretary Virginia O'Hair; Treasurer Catherine Hostetler) <br />MARTHA CHOITZ: I will make a motion to accept the resignation of Virginia O'Hair. <br />LYNN PATRICK: Seconds the motion and it passes unanimously. <br />2. Appoint interim secretary & treasurer to serve through December, 2004. <br />MARY JANE CHASE: I will make a motion that Catherine be allowed to take a leave of <br />absence from her position as treasurer and be allowed to serve as interim director. <br />5 <br />
