They have narrowed down the routes for US 31 to three: ES, CS, and GC. <br />John Oxian requested that Julie Schutte and Wayne Doolittle -attend this meeting. <br />4. Legal Report: Chapin Park proposed local historic district. <br />JOHN LIVINGSTON: I have been working with Aladean to get her approval of the <br />ordinance that we want passed so that we can submit it. Right now Julie is working on <br />the names of the people that we have to notify. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS <br />1. Eddy Street road widening; affect on East Washington National <br />Register Historic District; request opinion. <br />JULIE SCHUTTE: There is a letter in your packets about the Eddy Street road widening <br />project from the Troyer Group. Staff was wondering what the commission's position was <br />in terms of this project. <br />The commission briefly discussed what their position was regarding the road widening <br />project. Commission members stated that they were opposing the removal of the <br />bungalow that is located at 1028 Colfax. Julie Schutte made a note of the commission's <br />position regarding this project and plans to inform the Troyer Group accordingly. <br />2. Committee Appointments <br />JULIE SCHUTTE: In your meeting packets there is also a list of the committee <br />appointments. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS <br />1. Oliver Foundry Building: Proposed Memorandum of Agreement for <br />demolition. <br />(This was covered under item number one, the Historic District <br />Committee Report, St. Casimir district project). <br />2. Natatorium & Children's Dispensary (now Hansel Center); report of <br />Landmark Committee Chair. <br />3. St. Stephens Church. <br />JOHN OXIAN: I would like to table item numbers 2 and 3 until after Julie and I go on <br />the tour tomorrow. We can then meet and give our report on the interior of those <br />buildings. <br />8 <br />
