Restoration of highway historic marker. <br />WAYNE DOOLITTLE: The South Bend painter's union did a beautiful restoration of <br />the highway historic marker located on US31 at Johnson Road. They fully stripped off <br />the peeling layers of paint and meticulously applied two coats of fresh paint. <br />Mary Jane Chase made a motion to send a resolution of thanks and recognition of their <br />spirit of civic volunteerism to the painter union's apprentices who helped with the sign. <br />Diane Wrobel-Illes seconds the motion and it passed unanimously. <br />B.
