OLD BUSINESS: County Commission approval of employee leave <br />11 <br />12 County commissioners received HPC's request for employee new child leave, and approved it. <br />13 <br />14 V. NEW BUSINESS <br />15 <br />16 A. Eddy Street road widening; effect on East Washington National <br />17 Register Historic District; request for opinion. <br />18 <br />19 KAREN HAMMOND-NASH: The city engineer has requested an opinion from us regarding the <br />20 Eddy Street road widening on the intersection of LaSalle and Colfax. (See copy of letter from <br />21 community & economic development in meeting packet). <br />22 The city economic development department is considering major revamping and <br />23 development in the Saint Casimir National Register Historic District. They have invited <br />24 commission members to attend their initial planning meeting at St. Mary's Polish National <br />25 Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 28`h' at 6:30 p.m. <br />26 1Karen stated that at least one commission member should attend the meeting. Gerald <br />27 Ujdak said that he would try and attend the meeting, and if he could not, then John Oxian stated <br />28 that he would attend the meeting instead.
