The present owner of this house lives in Chicago. Code Enforcement has had
a problem with being able to contact her. I was able to talk to her and sent her a letter. She
couldn't believe that I was interested in making her house a local landmark;because, she has
never had anybody interested in her absentee properties. She almost stated to me,that if I
thought the house was significant, then I should go ahead and do what I want to do with it. I
mentioned to her some of the history of the house.

MARTHA CHOITZ: I will make a motion that we recommend to the Common Council that 619
Sherman be made a local landmark by the common council.

VIRGINIA O'HAIR: Seconds the motion and it passes unanimously.

C.
