Weather Stripping: 12 -inch- (300 -mm.) long sections. <br />3. Architect reserves the right to require additional samples that show fabrication <br />techniques, workmanship, and design of hardware and accessories. <br />F. Qualification Data: For Installer. <br />G. Product Test Reports: Based on evaluation of comprehensive tests performed within the <br />last four years by a qualified testing agency, for each type, grade, and size of wood <br />window. Test results based on use of down -sized test units will not be accepted. <br />H. Maintenance Data: For operable window sash, operating hardware, weather stripping and <br />finishes to include in maintenance manuals. <br />Mock-ups: Contractor will be required to install a complete, fully functional window in <br />location determined by the Architect. Installation of the balance of windows shall not <br />proceed without approval in writing from the Construction Manager pending approval of <br />the mock-up by the Architect. <br />1.7 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Installer Qualifications: An installer acceptable to wood window manufacturer for <br />installation of units required for this Project, Installer shall have experience in replacement <br />of windows on buildings with historic preservation requirements. <br />B. Testing Agency Qualifications: An independent testing agency, acceptable to authorities <br />having jurisdiction, with the experience and capability to conduct the testing indicated, as <br />documented according to ASTM E 548. <br />C. Source Limitations: Obtain wood windows through one source from a single manufacturer. <br />D. Product Options: Information on Drawings and in Specifications establishes requirements <br />for wood windows, aesthetic effects and performance characteristics. Aesthetic effects are <br />indicated by dimensions, arrangements, alignment, and profiles of components and <br />assemblies as they relate to sightlines, to one another, and to adjoining construction. <br />E. Fenestration Standard- Comply with AAMA/NWWDA 101/1.5,2, "Voluntary Specifications <br />for Aluminum, Vinyl (PVC) and Wood Windows and Glass Doors," for minimum standards <br />of performance, materials, components, accessories, and fabrication unless more stringent <br />requirements are indicated. <br />1. Provide AAMA-certified wood windows with an attached label. <br />F. Glazing Publications: Comply with published recommendations of glass manufacturers and <br />GANA's "Glazing Manual" unless more stringent requirements are indicated. <br />1.8 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br />A.
