JOANN SPORLEDER: I just want to be sure that the brick header that is currently there now is going to be maintained. SALLY BOSTICK: Yes, we are planning on maintaining the brick header just like it is now. JOHN OXIAN: Is there concrete on the bottom area of the windows? SALLY BOSTICK: No, there is brick work under the window. The brick that we do remove will be used later on the landing of the outside of the steps. CATHERINE HOSTETLER: I will make a motion that we accept the staff recommendation to approve application number 2003-0929-2. JOHN OXIAN: Based on the original drawing that I had handed in, I was planning on installing 4 x 5 foot windows all the way around the porch in between the pillars that are currently there now. However, I have changed my mind and decided that I would like to install two 3 x 5 foot windows instead all the way around the porch in between the pillars that are there now. The windows will be located behind the pillars. A board would also be installed behind the porch railings that are there now. An entrance door would also be installed in between the front two pillars of the porch. Wood siding would also be installed on both sides of the entrance door. One of the reasons this is being done, is because there used to be a nice big maple tree in the front parkway that has fallen down. When this happened there was nothing left to protect the front of our house from the cold weather. I would also like to put all of my plants out there. The windows are going to be like the sample down here on the bottom of the page, (refer to window advertisement attached to C of A). The reason I have decided to do my porch this way is so that if anyone ever comes along later and they want to remove my windows they will be able to without any damage being done to the original porch itself.
