3. Jefferson School Advisory Committee
GERALD UJDAK: We will hopefully have our last meeting set up for March 19`h at
2:30 at the South Bend Community School Corporation office regarding the windows and
doors at Jefferson School.
4. Historic Districts Committee
JOHN OXIAN: The proposed landmark at 1021 Portage Avenue has gone through. All
of the other landmarks have gone through, including Diane's house in the county, the one
on Lincoln Way West, and the two street lights on North Shore Drive.
There have been proofs of four district books prepared so far.
KAREN HAMMOND-NASH: On 709 Arch Avenue, the Liaison Committee for the
Edgewater District has brought to the attention of the HPC that there has been trespassing
on this lot where the house was once located. This vandalism has come in the form of
trespassing vehicles driving on the lot and making the lot a muddy mess.
Therefore, the Liaison Committee for the Edgewater District is asking the HPC for
their help in relocating another house onto that lot.
IV. OLD BUSINESS
Applications for Assistant Director Position, interview schedule
KAREN HAMMOND-NASH: I intend to interview the applicants for the Assistant
Director's position by the end of this month, and then supply all of you with a report.
JOHN OXIAN: The Executive Committee will then interview those applicants and state
which ones they would recommend for interviewing and then give their recommendation
to the board. The board will then hold discussions on who they feel would best qualify
for the position.
V. NEW BUSINESS
1. Muessel Brewery Committee Appointment
JOHN OXIAN: First I would like you to read what you have in front of you and then I
am going to have you make a choice. You can either have a committee or we can all get
together as a whole and go over this. So, whatever we do, it is going to have to happen
within the next two weeks.
So, which would you like to have --a committee or all of us get together? If you have
questions on this just send it to the committee because the city wants us to give an
opinion within the next two weeks.
