LYNN PATRICK: I would like to make a motion that Karen drafts a letter to the EPA
after receiving the contact information from Mr. Laurent. Would it be possible to have
her sign it on behalf of the Historic Preservation Commission if we all vote on it given
our time restrictions, indicating in the letter that we took a vote and we were unanimous
and supportive of the EPA Remediation?
MARTHA CHOITZ: Seconds the motion and the motion passes unanimously.
III. REGULAR BUSINESS
A. APPROVAL OF MINUTES (January)
KAREN HAMMOND-NASH: Nobody has called me with any complaints, questions, or
problems, and frankly, I am stunned.
JOHN OXIAN: The reason you don't have February's minutes was because the
transcription machine was not working right; but, the machine has been fixed and is now
working properly.
VIRGINIA O'HAIR: I will make a motion to approve January's minutes.
MARTHA CHOITZ: Seconds the motion and the motion passes unanimously.
B. LEGAL REPORT
JOHN OXIAN: Did you do anything concerning Madison yet?
THOMAS BODNAR: No, because we are about to have some reorganization done
within our office right now correlating tasks.
JOHN OXIAN: So you will know then sometime before the next meeting what we are
going to be doing with Madison.
D. STAFF REPORTS: C. of A. Approvals; Correspondence; Studebaker
Stamping Plant Petroleum Remediation; Muessel-Drewery's Brewery;
Automobile Shelter in Potawatomi Park.
JOHN OXIAN: I am going to put the Muessel-Drewery's Brewery part down below.
The Studebaker Stamping Plant Petroleum Remediation recommendation was already
presented. Going on to Certificates of Approval.
KAREN HAMMOND-NASH: The have been three Certificate of Appropriateness
approvals. They are as follows:
The book store at 231 South Eddy Street. I granted them a Certificate of
Appropriateness to replace foundation plantings.
