The C. of A. needs to be re- issued, because more than a year has passed since the original C. of A. was issued and it was staff approved because there have been no violations. 2. Inspector's Report WAYNE DOOLITTLE: I have an update on 117 West North Shore Drive. I talked to the painter who has been contracted to paint the house and he turned out to be the son of the people who own the house. He said he would not be able to finish the painting this year of the trim because he is running out of season to do it, but he said that he should be able to get the main part of the house done by then. Right now there are two -and -one- half walls done on the house and they look very good. Some of the wood we had looked at a couple of weeks ago had been repaired and is now in excellent shape. He had no idea what he would do with the balustrades that are sitting in the backyard. He knows that these balustrades either have to be repaired or replaced. I sent him a recommendation for a company I found that replicates balustrades and spindles. They were also planning painting part of the house different colors when they can get around to it, but first they have to strip all of the paint. They are planning on using paint on the wood trim and not stain. Overall the house looks very good and the garage will be done by the end of this week. IV. OLD BUSINESS A. Schedule Committee meeting on Chapin Park Historic District Standards. KAREN HAMMOND-NASH: A committee meeting set for Wednesday, October 23`d, at 4:30 p.m. B. Leeper Park riverbank protection; U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Approval. KAREN HAMMOND-NASH: I distributed to commission members a copy of the memorandum sent to the Historic District liaison most concerned with this matter and a copy of the findings from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers regarding the project the commission approved eighteen months ago and then re -approved two months ago regarding the erosion control in Leeper Park. For the commission's better information I have some photographs available for anyone who would like to look at them. V. NEW BUSINESS ` A. Assistant Director Position Posting JOHN OXIAN: We are planning on advertising for the Assistant Director's position. Even though we have already had some individuals apply for this position, I still think that we should post the position for Assistant Director publicly.
