JOANN SPORLEDER: Moved to amend the agenda to add Certificates of
Appropriateness 2002-1118-1 and 2002-1118-2 to the agenda.
The motion is seconded and passes unanimously.
MARY JANE CHASE: I will make a motion on 2002-1118-1 approving the removal of
a fence into the yard on the address of 617 West LaSalle and moving the set fence as is
and then having a gate for access to the walk, approximately twenty feet. There will also
be appropriate bushes and evergreens on the sides to mark off the chain link fence.
JOANN SPORLEDER: Seconds the motion and the motion carries unanimously.
KAREN HAMMOND-NASH: This application had been filed at an earlier date with a
different application number; but, had been denied due to the fact that Mr. Brendt's
application did not have site plan and he was also unable to attend the meeting at that
time. Application 2002-1118-2 is a petition to install a garden shed and the site plan is
attached to the application. It's not however absolutely clear to me from the drawing
what addition to house and pen mean.
JEFF BERNDT: The pen refers to the dog pen on the northwest side of the house.
Addition to house refers to an addition that already currently exists on the house.
JOHN OXIAN: What are the dimensions for the garden shed going to be?
JEFF BERNDT: The dimensions of the garden shed are 8' x 8' and approximately about
twelve feet tall. The garden shed is a wooden hip -roof shed based on a 1920's style shed.
MARTHA CHOITZ: I will make a motion that application 2002-1118-2 that the garden
shed in question be approved.
CATHERINE HOSTETLER: Seconds the motion and the motion passes unanimously.
B. HEARING OF VISITORS
KAREN HAMMOND-NASH: Mr. Napoli has made prior arrangements to inform us as
to matters related to the library.
DONALD NAPOLI: I have also asked Linda Conyers to come tonight. She is the head
of our main library. (Mr. Napoli also passed out copies of information about the library's
website to commission members). The first copy has a picture of the south side of the
main library on it and comes right from one of the library's website pages. Actually, you
can identify where this page is on our website by the indicator at the top of page where it
says (SJCPL Home -- > SJCPL Hot list -- > Library Info). In order to get access to this
page you would have to click the button on our hot list that reads Library Info. The
information that I have given everyone tonight can be found on our library's website.
This information will allow any of you to go on to our website and be able to keep up to
