JOHN OXIAN: Those in favor say aye. Those against say nay. The motion carried
unanimously.
JOHN OXIAN: Number three.
JOANN SPORLEDER: Repave the area between driveway, front walk, and service door.
Staff recommends approval.
KAREN HAMMOND NASH: There is a photograph in the application for the area that
is supposed to be paved. The application suggests paving it -with concrete stamped to
look like brick. Staff recommends simply approving the repaving and leaving the design
of the repaving to the owners choice of time in doing it.
JOANN SPORLEDER: I recommend approval as through staff recommendation.
MARTHA CHOITZ: Second.
JOHN OXIAN: Any discussion? Those in favor say aye. Those against say nay. The
motion carried unanimously.
JOANN SPORLEDER: Number four. Remove cement slap and adjacent over -grown
brick area in the back yard and repave xNrith a sixteen by twenty-four foot patio.
NACNY ICKLER: I am not really sure what the dimensions are going to be.
JOANN SPORLEDER: This is the size of the patio, not the size of the bricks. Having a
border of stamped concrete looking like brick around the perimeter and a basketball hoop
installed Staff recommends approval, conditional upon the previous paving material
being removed, pursuant to good construction practices.
Small discussion was held on removing paving material from the specified area.
NANCY ICKLER: There is a very ugly piece of concrete slab that goes the whole width
of the backyard So, what we were going to do is remove that and remove these bricks
and pour something that would be useful as a patio back there. I am not sure about the
dimensions yet. My basketball people tell me that this might be too small. We should
put something back there that would be a patio and could double as a basketball court.
WAYNE DOOLITTLE: You're not looking for a full basketball court., are you?
NANCY ICKLER: Oh no.
JOHN OXIAN: So are you going to have half of it resembling brick and the other half
just plain concrete?
/a
