relative of his is doing by running a car lot out of his residential home farther up the street
on Lincolnway West.
I also had Karen write a letter in opposition to this car lot, because of its potential of
being a local historical landmark, and because the property will be destroyed if it is
allowed to be turned into a used car lot.
DR. THOMAS HUDAK: You should see the privacy fence he is putting up and he is
planning on attaching it to the chain link fence that is already there. He has now stopped
where he was in trying to attach the privacy fence to the chain link fence and now he is
putting the fence onto poles which he has started half way across the back yard at this
point. I don't know if he has a permit for putting up this fence or not.
WAYNE DOOLITTLE: I did notice that he had a building permit in his window, but I
don't know for sure if the permit is for that fence because I did not go up to his property
and look at it closely.
Further discussion was held between Dr. Hudak and commission members about the
current residential history of the Mott's and the plans the current owner has for turning
the residential home into a used car lot.
JOHN OXIAN: This first reading is just a presentation, but next month_ is when we will
have a public hearing on this matter and then go on with it from there. This property
because of its history does qualify to be a local historical landmark.
B. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
JOHN OXIAN: We have now found someone who is typing the minutes. So, we should
be getting some of the minutes by next month.
C. TREASURER'S REPORT
GERALD UJDAK: I will make a motion that we table the treasurer's report until next
month's meeting.
MARY JANE CHASE: Seconds the motion and the motion carries unanimously.
C. STAFF REPORTS
1. C. of A. Approvals
KAREN HAMMOND-NASH: There have been eight Certificates of Appropriateness
approvals. I will present more detailed reports of these C. of A.'s next month. Most of
them are in the Edgewater neighborhood. The C. of A.'s include the following:
1. Replacement of gutter and eaves.
2. Replacement of a front door.
3. Replacement of a glass in another door.
I1
