very similar as far as the gardening area out in the front. Rather than brick stone, I may <br />go with a granite foundation. I have both so I go either way. In accordance with <br />blossoming ground cover, and then I would like to fill the rest of the area eventually with <br />perennials. <br />JOHN OXIAN: I will make a motion to approve application 2002-0413 with the <br />following conditions: <br />1. That a privacy fence shall go twelve feet across the front of the property and <br />seventy-six feet to the alley. <br />2. That a large section of the concrete wall at the north end of the alley be removed <br />and go back to the existing privacy fence. <br />3. The front corner of the concrete wall will remain where it is. <br />4. He will plant Japanese cherry trees out in the front of the property facing the <br />street. <br />5. In back yard the owner is planning on planting two Japanese cherry trees on either <br />side of the walkway. <br />6. There will be two gates for the privacy fence. <br />7. There are to be two arbors. <br />8. Owners choice of either a stone or brick walkway. <br />9. The owner's privacy fence will be six feet high <br />CATHERINE HOSTETLER:. Thanks for Van Buren Foundation Grant <br />JOHN OXIAN asked that a copy of each Resolution be added to the official minutes <br />report. The original signed copies of the resolutions are bound in blue and will be <br />presented to the persons honored. <br />MARTHA CHOIT7: I move that we approve both of the Resolutions presented. <br />MARY JANE CHASE: Seconds the motion and both Resolutions carries unanimously. <br />III REGULAR BUSINESS <br />A. Local Landmark, First Reading: the Mott Family Home, <br />at 2733 Lincolnway West, South Bend. <br />DR. THOMAS HUDAK: The current owner of the property is petitioning the city to <br />rezone the property from residential to commercial so that the owners can put a used car- - - <br />lot in the front yard. <br />0 <br />
