More discussion was held between Heidi Thatcher and the commission regarding where
she will be installing her fence and the amount of space that will be left between her
fence and her neighbors' fences.
JOHN OXIAN: I will go back to it and make my motion that your Pence—you can put
up the type of fence that you propose to install; but, that it be one foot in from your
property line. For your sake, I would say go with his recommendation.
JOHN OXAIN: I made the motion, who will second it?
GERALD UJDAK: I will second the motion.
GERALD UJDDAK: Are there any questions? Ok, all those in favor of the motion say
aye, all those against say nay. Motion carries unanimously.
GERALD UJDAK: Ok, we are done with the Certificates ofAppropriateness.
JOHN OXIAN: I have one question under the C. of A.'s. What has happened with 1732
East Wayne Street, from last month?
KAREN HAMMOND HASH: Remind me what the recommendations were?
JOHN OXIAN: Recommend that they install vinyl siding, soffit and facade be denied or
if the owners have information showing ----
KAREN HAMMOND-NASH: They have withdrawn their application. An expert from
the Historic Landmarks Foundation went over to their house; and told them that
everything easy and obvious had already been done. So it wasn't obvious where there
was a Iack of ventilation or a moisture problem and it is recommended that they do some
more serious and thorough research to trying and develop the source of the problem.
After they have found out what the problem is, than they can come back here for a
solution.
JOHN OXIAN: Going to Local Landmarks; 130 Park Lane; the Junior League House.
JOHN OXIAN: We at last have the consent ofMernorial Hospital. They gave it once
and withdrew it, and now it's back again. I would like to have a motion to send it down
to Council.
GERALD UJDAK: I second that motion.
JOHN OXIAN: Those in favor say aye. Those against say nay. Motion carried
unanimously.
JOHN OXIAN: Ok, under Local Landmarks these are all up for first reading. Virginia,
I would like to assign you number five to follow up on that one with the Potawatomi Zoo.
Iq
