PUBLIC HEARING <br />A. CERTIFICATES OF APPROPRIATENESS <br />1. 2002-0607; 1402, 1404, & 1406 Lincolnway East, South Bend <br />KAREN HAMMOND NASH: Last month the Commission approved the portion of the <br />application relating to leveling of the foundation, and repair of the chimney, and <br />approved the removal of the artificial stone siding, and the installation of replacement <br />siding, provided that the replacement siding be matched to the original wood siding that <br />would be revealed when the artificial stone siding was removed. The Commission tabled <br />until this meeting two remaining parts of the application as follows: <br />1. Application to rc-sidc other than the portion as covered by the <br />artificial stone, :vhich is concrete. <br />2. Replacement of the windows in the house, including the one <br />that is boarded up. <br />As to those, the stafl'recommends approval of replacement siding exhibiting the same <br />reveal as that originally found on the front, or oldest, part of the house.
