Warranties on all parts; and <br />d. Installation and safety requirements. <br />XIX. PLANS <br />A. Design and Construction Standards <br />B. Additions: <br />1. The plans consist of X Sheets, including the title sheet. <br />2. The work shall conform to the plans. <br />3. The drawings are schematic in nature. The CONTRACTOR is responsible for exact <br />placement of the curb, conduit, and lighting. <br />4. The CONTRACTOR is responsible for estimating dimensions and quantities of <br />materials. <br />5. In the event that the Special Provisions and the Plans conflict, the Special Provisions <br />shall govern. <br />XX. DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br />A. Prevailing Specifications: None <br />B. Additions: <br />1. Construct approximately twenty-six (26) nine (9) foot wide by twenty (20) foot long <br />asphalt standard parking spaces and nine (9) twenty (20) foot wide by nine (nine) foot <br />long parallel parking spaces along the East side of Riverside Drive between Michigan <br />Street and Bartlett Street. This includes grading and compacting the existing ground, <br />placing and compacting four (4) inches of No. 53 crushed concrete as a sub -base, <br />placing and compacting a minimum of four (4) inches of HMA No. 5 base, and <br />placing and compacting a minimum of one (1) inch of HMA No. 11 Limestone <br />Surface. <br />2. A standard concrete curb will be placed on the east side of the parking spaces as <br />shown on the plans. <br />3. Construct the new parking spaces with a slope that provides drainage to the adjacent <br />non -asphalted areas. The Contractor will place sod from the edge of curb to the edge <br />of pavement in the designated drainage areas. This will include all necessary site <br />preparation. <br />SP -7 <br />
