The Executive Committee would like to <br />453 have Mrs. Saunders promoted to Interim Director with the stipulation that she has to <br />454 receive her Masters Degree in four years. <br />455 <br />456 RICHARD HELMUS: I move to promote Mrs. Saunders as our Interim Director <br />457 with the stipulation that she obtain a masters degree with in four years at which time she <br />458 would become the full fledged Director. <br />459 <br />460 MARY JANE CHASE: I second the motion. <br />461 <br />462 After due consideration, the following action was taken: <br />463 <br />464 Upon a motion by Richard Helmus, being seconded by Mary Jane Chase and <br />465 carried unanimously, that Rhonda Saunders be promoted to Interim Director with the <br />466 stipulation that she obtain a masters degree with in four years and then will become the <br />467 full fledged director. <br />468 <br />469 V. VISITORS <br />470 <br />471 DON SPORLEDER: What is happening with the industrial corridor, namely the <br />472 Oliver Manufacturing Company? <br />473 <br />474 JOHN OXIAN: We did sign a letter for the City to obtain money for the Oliver <br />475 demolition with the understanding that the building farthest east by Arnold Street and the <br />476 Power Plant would be preserved in their entirety. There is a non-profit agency interested <br />477 in the Arnold Street building at this time. <br />478 <br />479 DON SPORLEDER: I would once again like to urge the Commission to identify <br />480 and preserve some of the areas important landscape elements. <br />481 <br />482 MARTHA CHOITZ: Give me an example please. <br />483 <br />484 DON SPORLEDER: Farmland would be a great example as well as some major <br />485 woodlands with in this farmland. <br />486 <br />487 IV.
