Certificates of Appropriateness <br />1. 2001-0222 — St. Joseph River Project <br />CATHERINE HOSTETLER: Is there anyone here from the City of South Bend to <br />address this issue? <br />CARL LITTRELL: I am Carl Littrell, the City Engineer, with me today is John Fisher <br />and Chris Jeeter, who have prepared the application for Certificate of Appropriateness. I <br />would like to state that the project has the full support of the City of South Bend. <br />JOANN SPORLEDER: What is a permanent turf reinforcement pad? <br />JOHN FISHER: It is a technique used to permanently anchor in grass and other <br />plant material as an erosion control method over top of the riprap. <br />JOANN SPORLEDER: What do you mean by the term riprap? <br />JOHN FISHER: The riprap that is proposed for this project is a stone in a range of <br />sizes set along the rivers edge. <br />1 <br />
