Contractor will use treated 4 X 4's for the support posts and they will be <br />buried into the ground 36" with concrete around each post. These support <br />posts will extend up thru the deck at least 36". <br />e. Contractor will use treated 2 x 8's for the floor joist 16" on center with <br />joist hangers. We will fasten the box to the support posts with galvanized <br />lag screws. <br />f. The decking for the deck will be treated 5i4" X 6" deck boards that will be <br />fastened down with 10d galvanized ardox nails. <br />g. The railing around the deck will be treated 2 X 2's 4" on center with a <br />treated 2 X 6 rail vertically and a 2 X 6 on the flat to cover the tops of the <br />2 X 2 balusters and support posts. We will use deck screws to fasten the <br />balusters to the rail and to the box. <br />h. We will build the steps out of treated 2 X 8's and 2 X 12's and the steps <br />will be closed up on the sides and front. <br />i. We will put a treated 2 X 4 on the ground around the bottom of the deck. <br />We will install aluminum screen around the bottom of the deck and then <br />cover the screen with treated wood lattice. <br />1 will get you a plot plan showing where these two projects will be on the property along <br />with a drawing of each.
