I spoke with the property manager
discussing the need for a Certificate of Appropriateness for all work down to the exterior.
He proceeded to remove the existing porch railings and columns with out a permit and
replaced the columns with round -fluted columns. The property manager has not replaced
the railings as of yet. He had originally stated that he would replace the columns and
rails with a product as similar as possible to the originals. He has obviously not tried
very hard to find columns similar to the originals. The Staff fears he will do the same
with the railings, so it would behoove the Commission to make the motion as detailed as
possible.

JOHN OXIAN: I was the one who discovered that the property manager had
started working on the porch with out a permit.
