Corrected 10/4/99 <br />E. Staff Reports <br />Mr. Talley noted that the Certificate of Appropriateness permit has been updated and soon the <br />staff will also revise the application. Mrs. DeRose noted that she has sent down the revision <br />regarding 701 E. Pennsylvania. Mr. Talley noted that he will attempt to complete the grant <br />application for Save Americas Treasures by its September 1, 1999 deadline. Mr. Fine noted <br />that the projects had to receive an official designation from Save Americas Treasures to be <br />eligible for funds. Mr. Oxian noted that the Commission needs to come up with a project for <br />next years grant. <br />IV. Old Business <br />Mr. Oxian noted that a stop work order has been placed on the house at 982 Riverside Drive. <br />V. New Business <br />1. Budget 2000 <br />Mr. Talley noted that the Executive Committee has approved the budget for 2000. He also <br />noted that the County Commissioners were in favor of the proposed budget. Mr. Fine moved to <br />approve the submitted budget. Mr. Zmyslo seconded the motion. The motion passed <br />unanimously. Mr. Talley noted that the Commission members need to send letters of support to <br />the County Council for the budget. <br />2. Permit Fee for CoWs <br />Mr. Oxian stated that after numerous discussions with various City and County Officials he has <br />decided that the Commission needs to increase the fees for Certificates of Appropriateness <br />applications to $5.00 for Staff approved permits and $10.00 for large projects, like, additions. <br />Mr. Oxian moved to increase the application fee from $3.00 to $5.00 and $10.00. Mr. Fine <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />3. New Deadline for CofA Applications <br />Mr. Oxian reported that the existing application deadline does not allow the staff enough time to <br />properly investigate applications. He stated that the commission needs to change the deadline <br />from the first Friday of every month to the last Friday of every month for the succeeding month. <br />Mrs. Hostetler moved to alter the application deadline for Certificate of Appropriateness <br />applications from the first Friday of every month to the last Friday of every month for <br />succeeding months meetings. Mr. Fine seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />4. IUSB Fest 9/25/99 <br />Mr. Talley noted that a Commission member is needed to man the Commissions booth at the <br />Indiana University Volunteer Expo on September 25, 1999. He further noted that the <br />Commission has already received two requests for internships for this fall. Mrs. Hostetler <br />moved to approve the internships. Mr. Zmyslo seconded the motion. The motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />VI. Hearing of Visitors <br />
