Corrected 10/4/99 E. Staff Reports Mr. Talley noted that the Certificate of Appropriateness permit has been updated and soon the staff will also revise the application. Mrs. DeRose noted that she has sent down the revision regarding 701 E. Pennsylvania. Mr. Talley noted that he will attempt to complete the grant application for Save Americas Treasures by its September 1, 1999 deadline. Mr. Fine noted that the projects had to receive an official designation from Save Americas Treasures to be eligible for funds. Mr. Oxian noted that the Commission needs to come up with a project for next years grant. IV. Old Business Mr. Oxian noted that a stop work order has been placed on the house at 982 Riverside Drive. V. New Business 1. Budget 2000 Mr. Talley noted that the Executive Committee has approved the budget for 2000. He also noted that the County Commissioners were in favor of the proposed budget. Mr. Fine moved to approve the submitted budget. Mr. Zmyslo seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Mr. Talley noted that the Commission members need to send letters of support to the County Council for the budget. 2. Permit Fee for CoWs Mr. Oxian stated that after numerous discussions with various City and County Officials he has decided that the Commission needs to increase the fees for Certificates of Appropriateness applications to $5.00 for Staff approved permits and $10.00 for large projects, like, additions. Mr. Oxian moved to increase the application fee from $3.00 to $5.00 and $10.00. Mr. Fine seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. 3. New Deadline for CofA Applications Mr. Oxian reported that the existing application deadline does not allow the staff enough time to properly investigate applications. He stated that the commission needs to change the deadline from the first Friday of every month to the last Friday of every month for the succeeding month. Mrs. Hostetler moved to alter the application deadline for Certificate of Appropriateness applications from the first Friday of every month to the last Friday of every month for succeeding months meetings. Mr. Fine seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. 4. IUSB Fest 9/25/99 Mr. Talley noted that a Commission member is needed to man the Commissions booth at the Indiana University Volunteer Expo on September 25, 1999. He further noted that the Commission has already received two requests for internships for this fall. Mrs. Hostetler moved to approve the internships. Mr. Zmyslo seconded the motion.
