<br />2. District Guidelines
<br />Mr...Duvall'reported that..the,editorial work'was still in`progress and that,not
<br />much else could.be done =until the staff received .the -.new -software." There was
<br />some discussion over getting an upgraded used printer from the County..

<br />Mr... Duvall reportedthatthe onl'y..thing not solidified.. -is the. supplemental -
<br />appropriation which -,is awaiting the paper work from the State office.
<br />4. Proposed Local Historic,Districts
<br />Mr. Oxian reported that.. there.. will.. be'.' a ,:public...hearing ••for -.,the. North St.. ;
<br />Joseph_ Street proposed � district in. -.May .and a. public. hearing- for -.South- St.
<br />Joseph Street.proposed-district in June, -by the Commission. He further noted
<br />that the reason for.the.two separate meetings was so that.all.the homeowners
<br />would not be present at,the.same time. -..Mrs. Choitz-.asked if there.was a date
<br />set ' for the meetings, or .would, -they- be .a .part._,'of . the•.: Commission : s regular... ,
<br />monthly meeting.,, -Mr. Oxian . stated -that. -it , would.. be; at-. the.: regular. monthly_
<br />meeting. .
<br />Mr. Duvall. stated. that:the,Distric'ts Committee was not currently working on
<br />the -Cushing, Street -proposed.., Historic- District,, until. the other districts are..•
<br />finished..
<br />5.. Liaison committee'elections
<br />Mr. Duvall reported -'that-the :_staff: received.. a -pretty successful response for
<br />the Liaison. Committee .,nominations -with..,,a wide, Variety. of -,...people being
<br />nominated. He also noted that Edgewater Place Historic district submitted the
<br />most nominations and that. Riverside- Drive. District. .and .Lincolnway .East
<br />District may be short on nominations. Mr. Talley stated that it was important
<br />to have enough nominees., to fill all the' vacant positions in'the• Riverside
<br />Drive, District. _-Mr. Duvall --stated that he was" disappointed that -.some of the
<br />nominees have declined. '
<br />6. Spring Newsletter,
<br />Mr. '-Duval.l. reported. that- nothing else -.has been done because :the. new -software
<br />has_ not arrived, however, . if it .comes, in. by tomorrowhe. should .-still. be able,
<br />to mail -them by. Fridays ..Mr., Fine stated,that:the Commission members might
<br />want to see the_letter_.before it goes out. -:Mr. Duvall stated that the letter
<br />is pretty -..basic and factual - and that. -there are no editorials ,in .it. Mr.
<br />Talley asked what software'Mr. Duvall was getting:' Mr., Duvall-, stated that he
<br />was getting MicroSoft Publisher.
<br />7. Historic Preservation Week activities
<br />Mr'.Duvall-repor.ted:,that__the newsletter contain Preservation. Week activities,,':
<br />the most.notable_being the.open house.at.the, Old- :- Courthouse. on the evening of
<br />May 12. He also noted that David -Bainbridge, from-the..Center..for.:History,
<br />would conduct. -the tours and that the Historic Preservation Commission staff"
