That all existing streetlights located in the
Riverside Drive Historic District be removed and that the wiring and
other subterranean components of that system be replaced or otherwise
upgraded.
5. That all existing streetlights in the Riverside Drive
Historic District be replaced by a replica historic streetlight to
consist of a black, decorative fiberglass pole, similar to the
Presidential model manufactured by the Shakespeare Company of
Newberry, South Carolina and made to resemble a black cast iron pole,
and a new lantern -type fixture, similar to the Edgewater fixture
manufactured by the Spring City Electrical Manufacturing Company of
Spring City, Pennsylvania.
6. In Edgewater,
the fixture to be used is a new lantern -type fixture, similar to the
Edgewater fixture manufactured by the Spring City Electrical
Manufacturing Company.
8. That the decorative concrete poles and fixtures removed
from the Riverside Drive and Edgewater Historic Districts be used, to
the extent possible, to replace the Town and Country model
streetlights recently used as replacement lights in the Northshore
Boulevard and East Wayne Street Historic Districts and.the Harter
Heights and Sunnymede areas, and to replace existing, but damaged,
historic streetlights located there.
9. That, when no such replacement streetlights or
components are available to replace or repair damaged historic
streetlights in the Northshore Boulevard and East Wayne Street
Historic Districts and Harter Heights and Sunnymede areas,*
replacement streetlights be installed.
