He went on to
note that the staff did have knowledge that the house in question was slated
for some kind of work, however the type'of work was unknown. Mrs. DeRose
suggested that a letter be sent to all known residents of historic districts
and landmarks that are taking part in the program notifying them of their
obligation to get a Certificate of Appropriateness. Mr. Oxian stated that the
staff should go out to each property that is in a Local Historic District or
is a Landmark which is scheduled for work to be done and to see if there are
any trees on the property that may be involved. There was
further discussion over how to relay to owners that they were
responsible for getting the appropriate permits and to the fact that the
Commission and the Board of Public Works needs to communicate more. Mr.
Talley moved to approve the application. It was unanimously decided that both
would be done. Mrs. DeRose stated that she would take care of the letters
that needed to be sent. Mr. Talley moved to have the Executive Committee
schedule a meeting with the Board of Public Works for discussion and
correction of this matter. Mrs. Sporleder seconded the motion.
