He stated that it will be <br />approximately 70,000 s.f and that there <br />will be approximately 20 to 30 individuals <br />employed in the facility. He stated that the <br />Health and Lifestyle Center will build up to <br />a membership of approximately 3,000. The <br />membership will come three times a day, in <br />the morning before work hours, lunchtime, <br />and after work hours. During downtime <br />there won't be quite as much traffic on the <br />floors when outside groups are brought in, <br />such as the "Second Winders" which are <br />individuals with Emphysema and <br />Pulmonary disabilities. These individuals <br />will come into the facility after the other <br />members are gone around 2:00 p.m. This <br />group performs aerobics and other <br />therapeutic exercises for their disabilities. <br />This group of individuals will come in at <br />this time to insure accessibility to the <br />appropriate equipment and services for <br />therapeutic needs. The first floor will have <br />appointments that will be run all day. <br />The Commissioners stated that they were <br />pleased with the proposed project. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded <br />by Mr. Hojnacki and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission approved the Agreement <br />for the Lease and Development of Real <br />Property within the South Bend Central <br />Development Area with Memorial Health <br />System, Inc. <br />H:\ HOME\ CPHIPPS \WPDATA \COMMSN\122096.MIN -10- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE AGREEMENT FOR <br />THE LEASE AND DEVELOPMENT OF REAL <br />PROPERTY WITHIN THE SOUTH BEND CENTRAL <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA WITH MEMORIAL HEALTH <br />SYSTEM, INC <br />
