CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS STAFF REPORT <br />• <br />II.C.(1) Required <br />Original windows and doors including sash, lintels, sills, shutters, <br />decorative glass, pediments, hoods, and hardware shall be retained or when <br />deteriorated beyond repair, replaced with units resembling the original. <br />RECOMENDATION <br />The replacement windows proposed for this project are Eagle brand double hung <br />with six/one simulated mull patterns per the documentation provided. These <br />windows reflect the original design. Staff recommends approval of these <br />windows. <br />The rehabilitation of the pergola should probably be viewed as maintenance and <br />would not in and of itself require review. However the relocation of the <br />pergola does require review. Unfortunately, due to the applicant's being away <br />from South Bend, Staff has not been able to ascertain the exact new location <br />proposed, nor the associated landscaping changes which have not been further <br />described.
