Commissioner Oxian asked for a response from Dr. Klopfer. Dr. Klopfer <br />stated that he told Ms. Dempsey that his intention was to " re -do the <br />house." <br />Commissioner Oxian told Dr. Klopfer that the HPC wanted an application <br />for a C of A that reflected a preservation plan for the house. Commissioner <br />Sporleder moved to continue the Department of Code Enforcement's application <br />for a C of A to demolish 1244 Lincolnway East for 30 days pending the receipt <br />of Dr. Klopfer's application for a C of A which reflects a preservation plan <br />for 1244 Lincolnway East. Commissioner Choitz seconded the motion. Ms. <br />Dempsey indicated no objection. The motion passed unanimously. <br />5. 1203 East Wayne Street (S) - EW-LHD <br />Mr. Daily expressed interest in learning more about the HPC. Discussion <br />ensued between Mr. Daily and various commissioners on the topic of masonry <br />repair procedures. Mr. Duvall read the staff recommendation. Commissioner <br />Sporleder moved to approve the staff recommendation. Commissioner Hostetler <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />IV. Regular Business <br />A. Approval of Minutes - April 18, 1994 <br />Commissioner Oxian asked questions about 1029 East Wayne and 344 S. Sunnyside. <br />Commissioner Choitz moved to approve the minutes as corrected. Commissioner <br />Sporleder seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />B. Treasurer's Report - none submitted <br />C. Correspondence <br />Mr. Duvall reviewed correspondence from Mr. Talley regarding the cleaning <br />of the plaques on the Leeper Bridge. Discussion ensued. Commissioner Oxian <br />requested copies of all letters. Commissioner Oxian asked the staff to write <br />Mr. Talley with complete instructions for his proposed actions. <br />Mr. Duvall reviewed correspondence to Ms. Lederer of 318 Lamonte Terrace <br />and Ms. Wendy Page of 1917 Cedar St. <br />There was also correspondence to the following RD-LHD-LC, the Alexander <br />Company concerning the fire at 505 W. Washington, Mayor Kernan on the <br />proposed location for the Studebaker National Museum and to Betsy Harriman <br />( Parks Dept.) concerning the Navarre Cabin in Leeper Park. <br />D. Committee Reports <br />1. C of A staff approvals - none submitted <br />2. Budget and Finance - no report submitted <br />3. Legal <br />Counsel sent letter to owner of 344 S. Sunnyside concerning work <br />without C of A. Counsel brought commission up to date on the staff <br />person's contract. Commissioner Choitz asked the reason for the delay. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />4. Historic Districts Committee <br />Commissioner Choitz and Mr. Duvall spoke about the LWW-LHD application <br />and the meeting with Kevin Weinberg. Counsel indicated that she had <br />spoken to the appropriate party concerning truck traffic in the RD-LHD. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />Commissioner Choitz noted the confusion over the meeting with the RD-LHD-LC. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />
