Mr. Holycross announced that Amy Kotzbauer had submitted her resignation as of March 31, <br />1993. He stated that she had done fine work in her short time with the staff, especially in <br />coordinating survey data for publication. <br />• Mrs. Dennan moved to commend Ms. Kotzbauer for the fine work she had done as Administrative <br />Assistant. Ms. Van Dalsen seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />8. Staff Reports <br />No Report, <br />V. Old Business <br />A. Election of Officers <br />Mrs. Choitz moved for approval of the following candidates for HPC office in 1993: president --John <br />Oxian; vice -president --Jed Eide; Secretary --Jewel Van Dalsen; Treasurer --William Welsheimer. Mrs. <br />Dennan seconded the motion. <br />No further discussion. Motion Dassed unanimous] <br />Ms. Brubaker offered to draft a letter to be sent to all property owners in property historic <br />districts and landmarks to remind them of their COA responsibilities. <br />Mr. Holycross, responding to inquiries as to the number of such owners, stated that there were <br />approximately five hundred (500) owners. Ms. Brubaker offered to help with the project; Mrs. Choitz <br />offered to pay for postage. <br />Mr. Holycross agreed to begin the project immediately. Mr. Oxian suggested that the new landscape <br />standards be included. <br />Mr. Oxian asked the commissioners to submit lists of suggestions for HPC projects, etc. <br />UI. New Business <br />Mrs. Sporleder read a synopsis of legislation pending before the state legislature. Ms. Brubaker <br />asked for the bill number. <br />VII. Hearing of Visitors <br />Mr. Talley offered to let people know that "volunteers were needed by the HPC." He also announced <br />that he was negotiating various matters in Shetterly Park with the city park department. <br />VIII. Announcements/Miscellaneous Matters <br />Ms. Brubaker announced an Indiana Alliance of Historic District Commission annual meeting in <br />conjunction with the HLFI Annual Meeting; subject: "Economic Hardship." <br />Mr. Talley asked that maintenance of streetlights be addressed by "somebody" or he would "continue his <br />request to the Common Council for designation of streetlights as historic landmarks." <br />Mr. Oxian asked him to prepare maintenance suggestions for streetlights to be submitted to the HPC. <br />IX.
