Mr. Oxian then stated that the thought the county should be resurveyed and a new book published. 3. Legal No report. 4. Historic Districts Mr. Holycross announced that the staff had met with the River Bend Guideline Committee previously that evening; the next meeting would be on March 1 at 5:30 pm. Mr. Holycross stated that the Riverside Drive Liaison committee had asked for a public Question and Answer meeting with the HPC and staff on March 3, 1993 at the YWCA. Mr.. Oxian stated that he would prefer a meeting after the present legal case was settled since the commission cannot discuss the case. Ms. Marsha Stephenson stated that the Liaison Committee viewed the meeting as opportunity for the district to get educated about the HPC and how the neighborhood and commission could work together. Mr. Holycross asked the commission whether they could approve • a meeting where it was announced that the legal case would not be discussed. It was decided that under those circumstances a public meeting could be held; staff was to inform HPC members when the meeting was scheduled. 5. Historic Landmarks a. 1027 East Wayne; 1029 East Wayne; 231 South Eddy. Mr. Holycross stated that the owner of these properties had asked for HPC consideration for Local Landmark status. He asked that the HPC consider the properties in April. There were no objections. Mr. Oxian announced that the Riley High School proposal for landmark designation was scheduled to be heard by the Common Council on February 22, 1993. The Madison School proposal would be heard by the Common Council on April 12, 1993. 6. Standards and Maintenance No discussion.
