STANDARDS; continued <br />Concerning windows the standards state; "Original windows... shall be retained <br />or when deteriorated beyond repair, replaced with units and trim resembling <br />the original." page 4 II.C.1. and "Original doors, windows and hardware shall <br />not be discarded when they can be restored and reused in place. New window or; <br />door openings that would alter the scale and proportion of the building may not <br />be introduced." page 5 II.C.3. <br />Concerning doors the standards state: "Original...doors... shall be retained or <br />when deteriorated beyond repair, replaced with units and trim resembling the <br />original." page 4 II.C.1. and "Original doors ... shall not be discarded when <br />they can be restored and reused in place." page 5 II.C.3. <br />Concerning sidewalks the standards state: "Distinctive existing features such <br />as ... walkways ... shall be retained." page 1 I.A.1. and "...walkways ... which <br />reflect the property's history and development shall be retained." page 2 I.B.I. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The HPC staff recommends against this proposal.
