Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:33 p.m. <br />II. Public Hearing <br />A. Certificates of Appropriateness. <br />1. 1067 Riverside Dr. - Riverside Drive LHD <br />Ms. Kotzbauer described the project; Mr. Holycross <br />distributed photographs. The property owner, Mr. Roman Sysyn, <br />was not present. <br />The owner proposed to construct a concrete retaining wall at the <br />northwest corner of the property's front yard. Dimensions: 8'x <br />4'x 8' in length, approximately 18" in height, and approximately <br />6" in width. <br />Ms. Kotzbauer related District standards stating that new site <br />elements, such as a retaining wall, shall be compatible in size, <br />scale, material, and color. Ms. Kotzbauer stated that the <br />proposed retaining wall matched (size, scale, material, and <br />color) an already existing retaining wall that borders the <br />remainder of the front yard area. <br />Ms. Kotzbauer recommended that the HPC approve the proposal <br />because of the aforementioned reason. <br />Mr. Holycross stated that the project was begun without a COA <br />and stated that staff has been in touch with the owner, informed <br />him of COA procedures and that the owner was cooperative and <br />willing to rectify the problem. <br />1 <br />
