historic preservation commission
on
of south bend and st. joseph county
ROOM 1123 COUNTY CITY BUILDING
south bend, indiana 46601 (219) 284 -9798
M E M O R A N D U M
TO: Historic Preservation Commission
FROM: F. Holycross
DATE: 8 -12 -92
RE: August, 1992 Regular Monthly Meeting
Due to the busy summer season, last month we were unable to come
up with the necessary quorum to transact all regular business.
This month it will be necessary that you approve the following
business from July: June Minutes, June Treasurer's Report, and
June Staff Approvals (these items are in last month's packet).
Instead of the regular monthly meeting in July, the commissioners
present conducted a COA committee meeting in order to consider a
series of proposals from the owners of 1352 Lincolnway East. The
committee's recommendations /decisions are contained within the
July 20th minutes included in this packet. It will be necessary
that you also approve the committee's decisions in this matter,
if there are no objections.
The remainder of the meeting will be business as usual except for
one item. James Pastor has submitted his resignation as of the
end of July; I have included this document in this packet. I have
begun the necessary measures to replace Jim; I appreciate his
efforts for the HPC and wish him well in all future endeavors.
One last note: last evening, July the 11th, the County Council
voted unanimously to approve your recommendation for the
designation of Ullery and Tutt /Stuckey cemeteries as Local
Historic Landmarks.
