Committee Assignments
Mr. Oxian announced the year's committee assignments
( see addendum) .
He noted that he considered the Maintenance Committee
most important; for this reason, he had left Mr.
Herendeen and Mrs. Sporleder off the other committees.
Mrs. Choitz asked Mr. Oxian to describe this
committee's responsibilities. Mr. Oxian said he had
created this committee to implement the newly - passed
maintenance standards. Maintenance problems would be
referred to this new committee.
Mr. Herendeen suggested removing ambiguity by changing
the name to "Standards Maintenance Committee." His
suggestion was carried out.
Mrs. Sporleder asked whether a committee to address
rural concerns was possible in the future.
Mr. Herendeen asked whether a new treasurer, to
replace Mr. Newburn, should now be chosen. Mr. Oxian
said that, while the treasurer's duties were light, a
treasurer was needed to attend the executive committee
meetings. Mr. Herendeen said that Mr. Welsheimer
seemed a likely candidate, but it would be unwise to
appoint him in absentia.
_--- - - - - -- -- Mr . - Oxian said he'd made Mr. Welsheimer chairman of
the Budget & Finance committee, an appropriate post
for treasurer. He said that, if there were no
objections, he would ask Mr. Welsheimer to become the
new treasurer.
B. Proposed COA Review Procedures
10
