c. 58666 Ireland - WPA House Karen Kiemnec of H.L.F.I. was present and spoke briefly about the structure and architectural design of the house. Mrs. Sporleder motioned for approval, Mr. Newburn seconded; motion approved. The motion was ammended to include the barn, significant landscape features, the caretaker's house and outbuildings. 6. Public Relations and Community Education No Report 7. Personnel A committee meeting -to review the staff contracts will be scheduled. 8. Staff Report a. Growth Management Conference - 5/1 Mr. Oxian reported the conference was excellent, but the attendence of the Commission Members was poor. John reminded the Commission Members that they must attend a "recognized conference" every year in order to continue with the qualifications of the Commission according to state and federal law. There were 34 registered persons in attendance along with several walk-ins. A tour of Union Station was provided. And the Mayor's Assistant, who was also in attendance, complimented the organization and success of the conference. V. Old Business A. Midwest Regional Trust Conference 4/91 Mr. Pastor provided a report on the conference. Mr. Oxian reminded Mr. Pastor that the -Commission needs to set-up maintainance standards for Landmarks. B. West Washington District Mks. Dixon is currently working on the National Register extension for the West Washington District. She will also mail notifications to the neighborhood organizations. C. Dardeh Road Bridge Mrs. Dixon mailed correspondence to the County Commissioners who as of this date have not replied. Mrs. Sporleder spoke about the reconstruction of Douglas Road which will include the removal of several giant Oak Trees located in the Notre Dame Woods.
