that they were, but that a discussion on this <br />should wait until next month, as that status may <br />change. <br />Mr. Oxian stated that the County Commissioners have <br />been approached regarding the withholding problem <br />on numerous occasions, but that they will not bring <br />any of the HPC staff into the County system. Mr. <br />Herendeen asked why this was an issue. Ms. DeRose <br />stated that the staff must pay not only the regular <br />personal FICA withholding, but also that portion <br />that an employer would pay, thereby doubling the <br />amount of FICA the staff must pay. <br />Mr. Oxian stated that bids should be taken for the <br />camera, then a formal report could be made to the <br />Commission. If bids are not coming in, Mr. Pastor <br />should go out and price the appropriate equipment. <br />e). Election of Officers <br />Mr. Oxian reported that the Nominating Committee <br />was headed by Mrs. Dennen. Mrs. Dennen reported <br />that the committee recommended: John Oxian - <br />President; Jed Eide - Vice President; Jean Dennen - <br />Secretary; Odell Newburn - Treasurer. She then <br />asked for any other nominations. None were made. <br />Mrs. Petrass moved that the Secretary cast a <br />unanimous vote for the slate of officers as <br />recommended by the nominating committee. Mr. <br />Herendeen seconded. Motion approved. <br />VII. Hearing of Visitors <br />No Report <br />VIII. Announcements and Miscellaneous Matters <br />Mr. Oxian requested that anyone who had previously <br />chaired a committee who no longer wished to chair that <br />committee, to let him know. Also, if someone wanted to <br />be involved with, or chair, another committee, to let him <br />know before the next meeting. <br />IX. Adjournment <br />
