-4 - Ms. Kiemnec reported that the Regional Conference on Neighborhood Business Development and the Fourth Annual Mayor's Conference will be held May 21-23, 1986 at Century Center. 3) 1986/87 Grants Ms. Kiemnec announced that the Historic Preservation Commission has received their 1986/87 Grant funds from the Department of Interior. Ms. Kiemnec reported that $11,300.00 was awarded to partially fund the Administrative Assistant's position and part-time secretarial help. In addition, $25,000, which will be matched by $2,340 from Community Development funds, was awarded for Phase I of the Survey Update. 4) Preservation Consultant Project Ms. Kiemnec reported that fliers have been sent out to al] the historic districts regarding the preservation consultants services project with eleven responses to date. She further reported that notices will be sent this week to all landmark owners. 5) Library Catalogue Project Ms. Kiemnec reported that the catalogue project has been 0completed and that all data has been recorded on the computer. 6) Attendance Report Mrs. Sporleder requested at the April 21, 1986 meeting that Ms. Kiemnec do an attendance report on the Commission Members. A report has been completed for meetings in 1985/86 and was passed out to each member (see Appendix B). Ms. Kiemnec requested that members be in attendance to review Certificates of Appropriateness. 7. Old Business No Report 8. New Business a. Aurora Preservation Conference Ms. Kiemnec told the Commission that there will be a conference in Aurora, Illinois on June 6-8, 1986 sponsored by the Landmarks Preservation Council of Illinois. She requested permission for Mrs. Sporleder and herself to attend this conference. Mr. Newburn made a motion for staff and Commission president to attend this conference, Mr. Nimtz, seconded, motion passed. b.
