-4 - <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that the Regional Conference on <br />Neighborhood Business Development and the Fourth Annual <br />Mayor's Conference will be held May 21-23, 1986 at Century <br />Center. <br />3) 1986/87 Grants <br />Ms. Kiemnec announced that the Historic Preservation <br />Commission has received their 1986/87 Grant funds from the <br />Department of Interior. Ms. Kiemnec reported that $11,300.00 <br />was awarded to partially fund the Administrative Assistant's <br />position and part-time secretarial help. In addition, <br />$25,000, which will be matched by $2,340 from Community <br />Development funds, was awarded for Phase I of the Survey <br />Update. <br />4) Preservation Consultant Project <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that fliers have been sent out to al] the <br />historic districts regarding the preservation consultants <br />services project with eleven responses to date. She further <br />reported that notices will be sent this week to all landmark <br />owners. <br />5) Library Catalogue Project <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that the catalogue project has been <br />0completed and that all data has been recorded on the computer. <br />6) Attendance Report <br />Mrs. Sporleder requested at the April 21, 1986 meeting that <br />Ms. Kiemnec do an attendance report on the Commission Members. <br />A report has been completed for meetings in 1985/86 and was <br />passed out to each member (see Appendix B). Ms. Kiemnec <br />requested that members be in attendance to review Certificates <br />of Appropriateness. <br />7. Old Business <br />No Report <br />8. New Business <br />a. Aurora Preservation Conference <br />Ms. Kiemnec told the Commission that there will be a conference in <br />Aurora, Illinois on June 6-8, 1986 sponsored by the Landmarks <br />Preservation Council of Illinois. She requested permission for <br />Mrs. Sporleder and herself to attend this conference. Mr. Newburn <br />made a motion for staff and Commission president to attend this <br />conference, Mr. Nimtz, seconded, motion passed. <br />b. Riverside Standards Book <br />Mrs. Choitz suggested that funds from the Commission's budget be <br />sought to pay for the Riverside Standards Book (see Minutes, <br />
