It was suggested that the <br />` Commission adopt one uniform old style streetlight which I & M <br />could purchase in quantity and then install into historic <br />districts as the need arises. There will be meetings in the <br />future to discuss this proposal. <br />C. Historic Landmarks <br />1) Darden Bridge <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that she had received the final report on <br />the Engineering Feasibility Study done by Mr. Lichtenstein. <br />In the report, Mr. Lichtenstein indicated that the bridge <br />could be restored for pedestrian use only for a cost of <br />approximately $465,080. <br />2) Oliver School <br />Mr. Oxian reported that Crumlish and Sporleder has been <br />awarded a contract to do the Feasibility Study on this <br />building; and the Department of Economic Development of the <br />City of South Bend has assigned two individuals to coordinate <br />the marketing study. <br />d. Legal <br />No report <br />e. Public Relations & Community Education <br />No Report <br />f. Environmental Impact Statement <br />1) 1216 Lincolnway East <br />Mr. Jerry Hubner of this address requested approval for a <br />frame garage in the rear of the property, a lattice fence to <br />be erected on the west property line, and landscaping for the <br />property. Ms. Kiemnec recommended approval of the changes; <br />Mr. Hayes made motion to that effect; Mrs. Choitz seconded, <br />motion carried. <br />2) 705 Lincolnway East <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported to the Commission that the railing around <br />the balcony at this address has not been replaced. The home <br />owner, Mr. Freidline, has been notified of a Code Enforcement <br />hearing set for May 29, 1986 concerning this issue. <br />g. Staff Report <br />1) Administrative Assistant's Position <br />This position has been filled by Brian Poland who will start <br />on June 2, 1986. <br />2) Mayor's Conference <br />
