Would like to construct garage similar to garage on attached sheet <br />(24'..x 34' as opposed to 24' x 27' of earlier plan). <br />1. New Construction, Height & Proportion -.Required <br />The height of a new structure and its height to width proportions shall be consistent <br />with adjacent buildings in the District. <br />2. Height & Proportion - Recommended <br />Contemporary designs should be compatible in height, proportion, character and <br />mood of the building or neighborhood. <br />3. Building Materials - Required <br />Exterior materials used on a new structure shall be compatible in type, scale, <br />texture and color with adjacent structures. <br />Recommendation: <br />Allow construction of garage with these changes to attached plan: <br />1. Use of 1/1 double hung windows. <br />2. No chimney. <br />3. Simple, paneled, rectangular garage doors. <br />4. Main entry door to match rear door of house. <br />5. Wood siding to be same width as that of house. <br />6. Asphalt shingle to match that of house. <br />
