February 17, 1986 <br />Historical Society to insure proper care. Mr. Oxian seconded. <br />Motion null and void - lack of quorum. <br />8. New Business <br />a. 1986 Goals <br />A list of 1986 Historic Preservation Commission Goals was <br />distributed among the Commission members in attendance. <br />Commission members were asked to makes comments or recommendations <br />on the list. <br />b. St. Louis Preservation Conference <br />Ms. Straw gave a report on the St. Louis conference to be held on <br />March 6-8, 1986 which Ms. Kiemnec will attend. She previously <br />received approval of the Executive Committee. <br />C. City Attorney <br />Ms. Straw reported on a letter from Richard Hi\) - Corporation <br />Counsel for the City of South Bend - dated February 5, 1986, <br />stating that David Chapleau, Deputy City Attorney, has been <br />assigned as legal counsel for the Historic Preservation Commission <br />on city matters (See Appendix C). <br />d. Preservation Law Reporter <br />The office of Economic Development has agreed to renew the <br />Preservation Law Reporter for 1,.-,86. <br />9. Hearing of Vis/tors - No Visitors <br />10. Announcements & Miscellaneous Matters <br />a. Letter from Tom C. Catanzarite dated February 13, 1986 stating <br />that Mr. Charles Hayes has been reappointed to the Historic <br />Preservation Commission for a term of three years. <br />/ <br />b. The Commission has received two publications 1) <br />Policy Research- Controversies in Historic Preservation; <br />Understanding the Preservation Movement Todz-:,.y _- _' , <br />"Routes. of History: Historic Transportation Corridors." <br />Michael Beatty made the motion to adjourn, John Oxian seconded. Meeting <br />was adjourned at 8:53 p.m. <br />14D <br />
