with the name of the district. Ms. Kiemnec stated that she <br />will send a notice to Commission members to view the design <br />when it is completed. <br />d. Historic Landmarks <br />1) <br />Fredrickson House <br />Mr. Jeff Gibney, Executive Director of the South Bend Heritage <br />Foundation (SBHF) handed out copies of a proposal to move the <br />Fredrickson House (Appendix B). A potential buyer has offered <br />to purchase the property, donate the house to be moved, and <br />develop the rest of the site for a new business and parking. <br />SBHF was named in the purchase offer as the receiver of the <br />building. The SBHF board voted to accept the Fredrickson <br />House contingent on the economic feasibility of the project. <br />Mr. Oxian suggested we encourage a study to be made. Mr. <br />Herendeen also felt that the Commission needed more specific <br />information before a decision can be made. <br />Mr. David Chapleau recommended a formal C of A be brought <br />before the Commission. <br />Mr. Oxian made a motion that SBHF do a study of the economic <br />feasibility of moving the Fredrickson House. Mr. Hayes <br />—� seconded; Mr. Oxian withdrew his motion. <br />Mr. Hayes made a motion to terminate discussion. Mr. Oxian <br />seconded; motion passed. <br />2) Landmark Plaques <br />Mr. Oxian stated he submitted to Ms. Kiemnec the cost estimate <br />from Peerless Patterns to make a landmark plaque mold. Mr. <br />Oxian recommended that the Commission give the City' plaques <br />to be placed on the following landmarks: the two firehouses, <br />the North Pumping Station, and the Morris Civic Auditorium. <br />3) Goff Property — 12594 St. Rd. #23, Granger <br />Ms. Kiemenc announced the purchase of this property by Mr. Tom <br />Selsor and his invitation to Commission members to tour the <br />house and review the blueprints, lease and sales information <br />concerning the construction of retail, office and restaurant <br />space on Thursday, December 18, 1987 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. <br />Ms. Kiemnec stated that she informed Mr. Selsor that when he <br />had more definite plans, the Commission would set up a <br />committee meeting of the Certificate of Appropriateness <br />Committee to suggest any changes that may be needed. <br />e.
