Remove picket fence around carport shown in <br />photo #1. 'Re -landscape property according to attached plans. No trees will be <br />removed; stone wall along NW part of front of property will be rebuilt and a <br />duplicate stone wall will be built between driveway and center walk (* on plan). <br />Replace deteriorated picket fence south of driveway with new picket fence (#). <br />1. Building Site & Landscaping - Required <br />Plants, trees, fencing, walkways, private yard lights... which reflect the <br />property's history & development shall be retained. <br />2. Same - Recommended <br />• <br />New site work should also be appropriate to existing surrounding site <br />elements in scale, type & appearance. <br />3. Same - Prohibited <br />No changes may be made to the appearance of the site by removing old plants, <br />trees, fencing, walkways, outbuildings, and other elements before evaluating <br />their importance to the property's history and development. <br />Recommendation: <br />Almost all the properties in the area have privacy fences along the alley. The <br />proposed privacy fence for 1111 Riverside will be screened with landscaping on <br />the north side and will not be visible from the street. The only shrubbery to be removed <br />is what is inappropriate and overgrown. I recommend approval of the plan on the <br />condition that the picket fence to be replaced (at # on the plan) be the same <br />height and have the same spacing between pickets as the one currently there. <br />C <br />
