�J seconded; motion passed. 3) 1346 Lincolnway East Mrs. Sporleder explained the items applied for in a Certificate of Appropriateness by Mr. John Bourthoumieu, the owner of 1346 L.W.E. They include: paving the rear parking lot with asphalt, constructing a pent roof on the rear facade, and erecting a 4' x 5' sign in the front yard. She recommended that these items be approved. She also recommended that the steps which were constructed without a Certificate of Appropriateness be allowed to stand with the following conditions: the tops of the handrails would be changed to meet the porch handrails, the lattice work on either side and under the steps be framed, and the steps be painted a dark blue. Mr. Hayes so moved; Mr. Nimtz seconded; motion passed. 4) 1216 Lincolnway East Mr. Hubner, the owner of 1216 Lincolnway East, asked permission to erect turned balusters on the front porch • instead of square balusters as suggested by the State Historic Preservation Office. He also asked that the Commission draft a letter to the state office indicating its support of the turned balusters. Mr. Oxian so moved; Mrs. Choitz seconded; motion passed. • 5) 605 Edgewater Drive Ms. Kiemnec received an application for a Certificate of Appropriateness to install an anodized aluminum storm door on the front of 605 Edgewater which had previously had a silver aluminum door. Mr. Oxian made a motion to approve the door; Mrs. Choitz seconded; motion passed. Mrs. Choitz made a motion to return to the original order of the agenda; Mr. Nimtz seconded; motion passed. g. Staff Report 1) Small Town Survey Ms. Kiemnec reported that the County Summary Report should be returned from the printer by next week. She further reported that the printing of the book came to $17.18 per copy. The Commission made the decision to charge $18.00 per book. 5
