�J <br />seconded; motion passed. <br />3) 1346 Lincolnway East <br />Mrs. Sporleder explained the items applied for in a <br />Certificate of Appropriateness by Mr. John Bourthoumieu, the <br />owner of 1346 L.W.E. They include: paving the rear parking <br />lot with asphalt, constructing a pent roof on the rear facade, <br />and erecting a 4' x 5' sign in the front yard. She <br />recommended that these items be approved. She also <br />recommended that the steps which were constructed without a <br />Certificate of Appropriateness be allowed to stand with the <br />following conditions: the tops of the handrails would be <br />changed to meet the porch handrails, the lattice work on <br />either side and under the steps be framed, and the steps be <br />painted a dark blue. Mr. Hayes so moved; Mr. Nimtz seconded; <br />motion passed. <br />4) 1216 Lincolnway East <br />Mr. Hubner, the owner of 1216 Lincolnway East, asked <br />permission to erect turned balusters on the front porch <br />• instead of square balusters as suggested by the State Historic <br />Preservation Office. He also asked that the Commission draft <br />a letter to the state office indicating its support of the <br />turned balusters. Mr. Oxian so moved; Mrs. Choitz seconded; <br />motion passed. <br />• <br />5) 605 Edgewater Drive <br />Ms. Kiemnec received an application for a Certificate of <br />Appropriateness to install an anodized aluminum storm door on <br />the front of 605 Edgewater which had previously had a silver <br />aluminum door. Mr. Oxian made a motion to approve the door; <br />Mrs. Choitz seconded; motion passed. <br />Mrs. Choitz made a motion to return to the original order of the agenda; Mr. <br />Nimtz seconded; motion passed. <br />g. Staff Report <br />1) Small Town Survey <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that the County Summary Report should be <br />returned from the printer by next week. She further reported <br />that the printing of the book came to $17.18 per copy. The <br />Commission made the decision to charge $18.00 per book. <br />5 <br />
