• <br />• <br />Commission after receiving comments from Mrs. DeLaruelle <br />and Mr. Beatty. Mrs. DeLaruelle asked that Mr. Oxian <br />review the standards also. <br />. Historic Landmarks <br />1) Darden Bridge <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that the Preservation Services Fund Grant <br />for an engineering study for the Darden Bridge was awarded to <br />the Commission. Two engineers from the firm of A.G. <br />Lichtenstein and Associates were in South Bend from November <br />11 to the 13th to begin the study. The final report should be <br />received by the beginning of the year. <br />3) 16479 Brick Road - Second Reading <br />Ms. Straw read the amended legal description proposed for the <br />landmark property at 16479 Brick Road. Mr. Oxian made a <br />motion that the Commission recommend the amendment to the <br />landmark ordinance to the County Council; Mr. Hayes seconded; <br />motion passed. <br />d. Legal <br />No Report. <br />e. Public Relations & Community Education <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that the Commission has received a $2,000 <br />grant from the Hotel/Motel Tax Board for the Downtown Brochure. <br />She applied for funding through the CLG grant as a match. <br />J . Environmental Impact Statement <br />1) 736 Bronson <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported on an application for a Certificate of <br />Appropriateness from the owner of 736 Bronson to replace the <br />porch roof (completed last summer), repair the porch, replace <br />the porch floor, replace the ceiling of the porch, re -side the <br />house above the porch, and cover the windows on the northeast <br />side of the house. The applicant did not attend the meeting. <br />Mr. Hayes made a motion to have Ms. Kiemnec prepare a report <br />on the project for next month indicating whether or not the <br />project followed the standards, staff suggestions on <br />alternatives if the project does not follow the standards, and <br />the time limit on stop work orders (issued August 16 for the <br />3 <br />
