• <br />1) Plaques <br />Mr. Oxian reported that he has spoken with someone from a <br />foundry, the George C. Clark Metal Last Co., Inc., who would <br />be willing to produce plaques for historic landmarks at <br />approximately $10 per plaque. They would be made of aluminum <br />with only one type of lettering and we would need to use the <br />same plaque for both county and city landmarks. The only <br />additional cost would be for making a pattern which Mr. Oxian <br />will check into. <br />d. Legal <br />Mr. Nimtz reported that he had gotten information on a meeting to <br />be held on June 3 in Indianapolis sponsored by FILFI for attorneys <br />interested in preservation. He will inform Assistant City <br />Attorney, Eugenia Schwartz, and the Commission's attorney, Kevin <br />Butler. He suggested and the Commission agreed that the <br />Commission pay their mileage to Indianapolis if they are <br />interested in going. <br />e. Environmental Impact Statement <br />1) 710 Arch <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that an Edgewater resident had called <br />Mrs. DeLaruelle regarding the house at 710 Arch and work being <br />done without a Certificate of Appropriateness. tAls. Kiemnec <br />called Code Enforcement to check on the situation. She read a <br />memo from that department (see Appendix 6) indicating that <br />they did not find any evidence of work being undertaken. <br />2) 1222 Lincolnway East <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that she had approved a Certificate of <br />Appropriateness for 1222 Lincolnway East to demolish a shed <br />addition to the rear of the carriage house on the property. <br />The shed is In very poor condition and is not original to the <br />carriage house. <br />g.
