c: • 1) Small Town Survey i,is. Kiemnec reported that a check for the Small Town Survey Grant has been received from HLFI. She has interviewed four people for the position and asked the Comnfl ssioners if they were aware of anyone else who would be interested in the internship. She and Mrs. Sporieder will review the applications and make a decision by the last week of May. Regarding publication of the County Summary Report, Hs. Kiemnec asked if it was necessary to include the current names of owners of houses surveyed which would make the Report be out of date very quickly. The Commission agreed that it was not necessary. Ms. Kiemnec asked if it was necessary to publish a model ordinance in the Summary Report. The Commission agreed that it was not but that one should be available in the office if any of the Small Towns inquire about coming under our jurisdiction. The matter was referred to the Legal Committe who will meet with Mr. Butler to discuss it. 3) Survey Update and Reevaluation a) Potawatomi Park Shelter House Ms. Straw presented a Reevaluation Recommendation for the Potawatomi Park Shelter House (see Appendix C) with a recommended rating of S/11. 'r1r. Oxian made a motion that the shelter which was not previously rated be given a rating of S/11; 11r. Beatty seconded; motion passed. 4) Industrial Building 1%leeting - Report Ms. Kiemnec reported that 20 people attended the April 25 hileet i ng for Industrial Eauilding Owners. f1ost were building owners but a few realtors also attended. The Industrial Buildings Slide Presentation was shown, Mr. Jaynes Conley from HLFI explained the National Register and the Tax Act, and there was a question and answer period. ias. Kiemnec inquired if the Commissioners could suggest anyone else who might be interested in the presentation. They suggested the South Bend Library and the Social Studies Program at the South Bend School Corporation as well as the television stations. 4
