Historic Districts <br />• <br />1) Riverside Drive <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that the Common Council held First <br />Reading on the Riverside Drive Historic District on April 8. <br />A Public Hearing on the District will be held by the Area Plan <br />Commission on May 21, 1985. <br />2) Lincolnway East Historic District <br />a) 1312 Lincolnway East <br />Ms. Kiemnec read a letter from the owner of 1312 <br />Lincolnway East requesting a reevaluation of the rating on <br />his residence at that address (see Appendix A). Ms. <br />Kiemnec read a draft of a letter which reflected the <br />staff's recommendation (see Appendix B). Mr. Newburn made <br />a motion that the letter be sent; Mr. Nimtz seconded; <br />motion passed. <br />b) Dedication <br />Ms. Kiemnec announced that a Press Conference will be held <br />on May 14 at 9:30 a.m. to dedicate the Lincolnway East <br />Historic District (changed to May 13). <br />3) Historic District Committee Meeting Report <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that the Committee met two weeks ago with <br />Mrs. Eugenia Schwartz, the Assistant City Attorney, and Mrs. <br />Kathy Barnard, the Director of the Department of Code <br />Enforcement, to discuss the problems with enforcement in the <br />Edgewater Place Historic District. Several solutions were <br />suggested and the staff is continuing discussions with the two <br />other departments. <br />4) 601 Lincolnway East <br />Ms. Kiemnec distributed a Polaroid photograph to show the <br />building from 601 Lincolnway East at its new site at 619 <br />Fellows Street. <br />c.
