C4 <br />• <br />Landmark Procedures and on District Procedures has gone to <br />committee chairpersons. Ms. Straw is currently working on a <br />chapter on Endangered Buildings. <br />Ms. Kiemnec further reported that questions regarding the <br />Studebaker Clubhouse and Trees National Register nomination <br />had been received from the State Historic Preservation <br />Office. These were answered and the nomination was <br />resubmitted and will be before the review board on August 1, <br />1984. <br />2) Industrial Buildings Project <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that Mr. Wallar has left. Funding has <br />been secured from the State Division for Historic <br />Preservation, Historic Landmarks Foundation, and the Chamber <br />of Commerce to finish the project and to do a slide/tape <br />presentation. She further reported that the Personnel <br />Committee had reviewed the possibility of hiring Mr. Dave <br />Barrett for the position and recommended that action to the <br />Commission. Mr. Newburn made a motion to hire Mr. Barrett; <br />Mr. Hayes seconded; motion passed; Mrs. Choitz abstained. <br />7. Old Business - No Report <br />8. New Business <br />a. 1985 C.D. Funding <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that the 1985 Budget process for Community <br />Development funds has begun. She will prepare a proposal and <br />have it reviewed by the Budget Committee. <br />b. Riverside Drive <br />Mrs. Choitz reported that she will be initiating meetings with <br />residents along Riverside about the possibility of establishing <br />an historic district there. <br />c. St. Joseph County Cemeteries <br />Mr. Oxian suggested that the Commission through the Landmark's <br />Committee study county cemeteries in regard to location, <br />condition, and funding for restoration. <br />9.
